Hey!

BPS to be applied to a Super Mario World (USA) ROM with MD5 hash cdd3c8c37322978ca8669b34bc89c804 - if this isn't your ROM then let me know.

More at the bottom - Scroll down only after beating the game :D Or don't, do what you want but just be aware light spoilers.

Just an Untitled Game by Zan - a customized troll-esque experience that's very clear about what it's trying to do :)

When I started making this it was far more cheap-troll-y and I didn't like that so much so I put a bit more effort in.

I hope you enjoy! Sorry if there's any jank. I tested this incredibly thoroughly but I can make no guarantees

One warning, there are some bright flashing colours near the end of the "boss".

Note; I've tested this on BSnes, BSnes+ and MesenCE which are all fairly accurate emulators, with no major issues.

There are one or two things that are a little quirky that I would love to have polished but didn't quite have the time.

Please @ me in Discord ("Zanidom") if something goes hideously wrong. :)

Alright! Yes, as the outro said, this engine (level format, loading, blocks, objects, sprites, you name it)
is made from scratch to try and feel like SMW as closely as possible, down to Mario's physics; this then
gave me the flexibility to do some janky stuff, of which there was plenty :D

Huge amounts of props to the folks who made the disassembly, it was instrumental in understanding how it all works - Mario's physics
are really complex for a game that only runs at the very limited SNES speeds! Very cool. Getting even close to as efficient as it is was tough.

Sorry for the lack of custom music; I simply didn't have time - I only found out about this just under a ~month ago,
and jumped straight into making the engine feel like SMW. I spent 2-3 days trying to write a custom music engine,
but the SPC700 is a completely different beast that I lack experience with, and I simply had too many issues for the time I was working with.
Consequently, I stripped the music pieces out of SMW and inserted them piecemeal into this game. For that I can only apologize.

The rest of it was cobbled together using art assets from SMW as liberally as I could, with some of my own stuff thrown in there here and there.

I'm literally writing this a few hours before the deadline. The boss fight has just wrapped up... semi-cleanly. Not quite as much polish in there
as I wanted, but I've probably put over ~300 hours into this since I found out about this and I have literally run out of time. I had
so many more ideas for funny trololol moments! Maybe next time ;) At least I have the base engine done now so future contributions are
way, way easier!

Thanks for playing :) I hope you had a good enough experience.
