Streamer Guide

How to get featured

  1. Hit Sign up with Twitch above. That registers you as a contest streamer who can appear in the front-page featured section.
  2. Put !trollcontest in your stream title. This exact tag is required for your stream to be detected, featured, and shouted out.
  3. Go live! While you're streaming the levels, your stream shows up in the Live Now list, and the Discord bot will shout it out.

Featuring & priority

The judges' streams have priority for the big featured player, but your stream will still show up in the Live Now list alongside them. And if no one else is streaming, your stream gets featured front and center.

Discord shout-out

When you go live with !trollcontest in your title, the Discord bot will shout out your stream so the community can come watch.

Shout-outs (appreciated, not required)

While you're streaming, a shout-out to the judges who put the contest together and the level creators is hugely appreciated, but it's not required. Stream how you like!

When are the levels playable?

The levels open up and become playable for everyone one week after the submission deadline. The main judges get earlier access so judging can happen first.

The one rule

There's just one rule: using the !trollcontest tag while you're not streaming Troll Contest content will get you banned from being featured.
